City boss Steve Castle has moved to bolster his squad by signing midfielder Soloman Shields on a one-month loan from League One strugglers Leyton Orient.

The 19-year old has made one appearance for the Orient first team and joins the Saints in a bid to gain valuable first team experience.

O's caretaker boss Kevin Nugent told the club's official website: "Soloman needs to get some senior games under his belt and this move to St Albans is an ideal opportunity for him to do that."

Shields is likely to go straight into the City first team for Saturday's game with AFC Wimbledon with both Ben Martin and James Fisher suspended.
