Season so far
Redditch go into Saturday’s game in 15th spot in the Southern League Premier Division.
After a solid start to the new season that saw them unbeaten in the first three games, Redditch suffered a dip in form that saw them collect just four points from their next 10 games.
Graham Hyde’s side rallied in mid-November to record five wins in six games – their only defeat coming at struggling Arlesey Town – a run of results that helped push the Worcestershire side up into mid-table.
United suffered single goal defeats to Stourbridge and Evesham over the festive period before beginning 2012 with a 2-1 win over high-flying Leamington. However on their last outing Hyde saw his side thumped 4-1 win City’s Hertfordshire rivals Hitchin Town.
Team vs Hitchin: Coleman; Knott, Stringfellow, Forde, Cresswell, Grimes, Jones, Halsall, Deabill, Berwick, Osborne.
We’ve Met Before –St Albans City 2 Redditch United 0 (September 10, 2011)
Goals from Danny Hart and Jerome Walker settled this tie in favour of the home side when the two sides clashed back in September.
Team news
Michael Harriman has returned to QPR following the completion of his two-month loan deal so Barrie Matthews could return to the starting XI at right-back.
Sean Shields and James Bent were both set to return to training this week but aren’t expected to be ready for this Saturday’s game.
