SYNCHRONISED swimmer Olivia Allison has been stepping up her preparations for the 2008 Olympics with a trip to Bonn to compete at the German Open.

Olivia, from St Albans, took fourth at the Commonwealth games in 2006 in the duet, with Jenna Randall.

In the last year, Olivia and Jenna have been training full time in Aldershot with the national squad. National Performance Director Biz Price said: "Giving Jenna and Olivia the chance to be exposed to different judges will help develop them as athletes.
