Kyla Nelson of Oaklands Wolves has been included in the Great Britain’s squad ahead of their vital Eurobasket 2017 qualifying games.

They head to Italy on November 20 and then Albania four days later with a place in what would be a fourth consecutive Final Round appearance still up for grabs.

And Nelson, who has starred as the Wolves have begun life in the Women’s British Basketball League (WBBL), will make the step up from U20 level.

The WBBL will account for 16 of the squad, highlighting the strength and depth of the league this season.

The rest of the squad are largely European based and will be led by EuroLeague Women star Jo Leedham, with head coach Jose Maria Buceta boosted by WNBA draftee Temi Fagbenle being available again.

GB need to finish second to stand a chance of qualifying.

They are currently third level on six points with Montenegro and two points behind leaders Italy.

Albania are still waiting for the first win and prop up the four-team group.
