Greg Ngoyi has left St Albans City by mutual consent.
Last season’s top scorer was struggling to attend training and midweek games due to work commitments so the club agreed to terminate his contract.
Ngoyi’s departure leaves City with just three strikers in the squad: John Frendo, Mark Nwokeji and Barnet loanee Jamal Lowe. Saints’ youngest striker, Elliot Bailey, is under contract to complete his month-long loan at Calor Southern League rivals Bedford Town so he is unavailable until his return.
Joint manager Graham Golds told the Herts Ad may look to bring in another front man if they can find the “right player.”
