St Albans Cricket Club’s Zimbabwean international Mbekezeli Mabuza has agreed a sponsorship deal with Hertfordshire-based Space Estates.

The player-coach, who is responsible for the coaching throughout the club, from the colts section through to both men’s and women’s adult teams, is in his second season with Saints.

And as well as carrying out his day-to-day coaching activities, ‘Mbeks’ has also designed and is overseeing an elite performance program aimed at further developing the clubs most promising young players.

Paul Sands, St Albans’ chairman, said: “[Space Estates] have made the process of securing accommodation for Mbeks efficient and easy and we hope this is the start of a long and mutually beneficial relationship with a great Hertfordshire company.”

Space Estates’ director Sian Cherrington said, “Mbeks Mabuza is a great example of performance and professionalism and a great ambassador for our company.”
