Ollie Pattison is "feeling good" ahead of his fifth professional fight - despite becoming a dad for the first time.

The London Colney light-heavyweight and his partner welcomed the arrival of a baby girl during the summer.

And despite all the changes that brings, he says his five-year plan to fight on the world stage is still on track.

He said: “She’s a really good sleeper. She sleeps between 11pm and 7am. I go for a run at 6am and when I’m back she’s awake.

“It’s still part of the five-year plan. And it’s extra-motivation really.”

The 26-year-old is scheduled to continue his promising career on November 12 with a fight at Bethnal Green’s iconic York Hall.

His opponent has yet to be confirmed but Pattison is ready regardless.

“I’ve trained since my last fight,” he said. “I thought I would need a few weeks off but I didn’t.

“I had my training camp a few weeks ago and am sparring every week. It’s all going well and I’m feeling good.”

This will be his last bout over four rounds with the difficulty increasing from here.

He hopes to fight for a British Challenger belt early next year with a tilt at an area and then British title following after that.

And he says once he gets to that stage, he will be ready to make the leap to world level.

“The step-up [from British to world] is pretty quick,” he said.

“You look at Chris Eubank Junior. He is British champion and now he is close to being a mandatory challenger for a world title.

“I just have to keep winning.”
