HARPENDEN Town FC has appointed a new chairman.

Steve Fakes will see the club through the next phase of it’s “exciting” development. The appointment serves as notice of the club’s immediate intention to progress work to redevelop the clubhouse and facilities at Rothamsted Park to ensure a first-class environment for the players, supporters and local community.

Fakes has already begun work on putting together an exceptional team to oversee the running of the club and will therefore immediately begin engaging all key stakeholders to update on future plans. As such, any potential commercial partners should e-mail smf_2001@yahoo.co.uk to discuss options available.

Having recently appointed a new Manager in Simon Andrews the club now looks forward to a sustained push for promotion in the coming season.

A club spokesman said: “Harpenden Town FC would like to place on record their gratitude to outgoing chairman Paul Naismith for his hard work and dedication and look forward to welcoming him back as a supporter in the near future.”
