Mill End Sports 1 Park Street Village 3

RECENT signing Chris Cutmore scored twice for Park Street Village as they recorded their third straight victory at Mill End Sports.

Cutmore, a recent acquisition from Met Police Bushey, made his first start for the club and responded with two goals, earning praise from PSV boss Ryan Thompson who said: "He's so lively, we just want to get the ball to him as quick as we can.

"Him and Matty Newman are such good players it's no use them not having the ball for 10 minutes."

Park Street dominated the game but found themselves behind against the run of play 20 minutes in.

A corner was only half cleared by the PSV defence and Tom Callaghan was given too much time to pick his spot and fire past Tony Kerby.

Thompson's side drew level ten minutes later when Cutmore fired home a free kick from the edge of the box via the underside of the bar.

Village doubled their lead and it was that man Cutmore once more.

A quick throw from Kerby to Dean Thompson saw the ball fed to Dean Seabrook.

He in turn threaded the ball to Cutmore who raced in to score.

The victory was completed when substitute Andy Murphy outmuscled the home defence to fire home after his initial shot was saved by the Mill End goalkeeper.

Thompson was full of praise for his side saying: "It was really pleasing. It wasn't just the three points it was the style we did it in.

"Credit to Tom Murphy whose done a lot of work with us.

"He's given us a buzz and the lads are taking a lot on board.

"Park Street have never been a brilliant footballing side but we're moving the ball well and progressing.

"We've got some tough games coming up; MK Wanderers of the South Midlands League in the Anagram Records Trophy - which we want a good run in after reaching the final last year - London Lions and Cuffley. Then we'll see how well the young lads are doing."

One player in particular received a glowing reference from Thompson.

"Ricky Tahon was awesome. His passing put some of my other lads to shame and on that form he is impossible to play against."
