Ricky Aguiar’s early strike proved the difference as Worthing claimed a 1-0 win over Hornchurch in the Enterprise National League.

Aguiar found the target after just six minutes when he raced into the area and swept home from Cory Adjetey-Brew’s fine ball from the left.

Ashley Nathaniel-George spurned a good chance to add a second and Hornchurch rallied after the break with Taylor Seymour forced to save from Ryan Inniss and Josh Walker in quick succession.

Harry Ransom also had to clear a corner off the line but Worthing held on to take the points.
