ST Albans sisters Daisy-May and Rosie Parsons led their school age groups to double delight at the National Hockey finals.

Daisy-May featured in the Under 18s team and Rosie in the Under 14s for East of England champions Queenswood School, Brookmans Park, Hatfield. The sisters were supported by their parents, Tim and Sarah, and their elder sister Holly, who is a former Queenswood School hockey captain. Queenswood School Director of Sport and coach Jo Wakeley said: "The Parsons family have provided us with three great sportswomen who have all contributed hugely to the success of hockey at Queenswood. I am only sorry there are no more to come."

The Under 18s were the only team to score against winning side Repton in a close contest which the overall victors won 3-1. Two draws and a win from the other three matches ensured the Under 18s finished in a very creditable third place.

A 3-0 win against Arnold proved the highlight for the Under 14s as they also finished in an impressive third spot.
