Sandridge 2nds’ skipper Dave Muskett has left wondering how to change his team’s fortunes after a batting failure led to another loss.
Winning the toss, Sandridge put the Harpenden Dolphins in and were immediately rewarded with a wicket from the bowling of David Camm. Dropped catches in the field, however, let Dolphins off the hook and Mather (65) took full opportunity of his luck to press home the advantage.
Camm once again bowled with great control, finishing with 6-43, and was well supported by Muskett (3-38). Harpenden Dolphins were finally dismissed for 159.
In response, the Sandridge batting capitulated. Only Matt Miller (25) showed any resilience as they were bowled out for 77.
This weekend Sandrige are at home to Welwyn Garden City, who are in third position in the league.
