Harpenden showjumper Phillip Miller and Unbelievable Lady stormed to victory in the New Forest as the initial legs of the International Stairway series came to a close.
Riding Shirley Light’s eight-year-old chestnut mare, Miller took 12 points to close the gap on overall leader Nigel Coupe from Lancashire.
Coupe finished second place in the New Forest on Susan Simmon’s 12-year-old bay gelding Golvers Hill. Their performance was enough to see them leap to the top of the league table ahead of the British Showjumping National Championships, which start on August 11.
