MARY Perrott of Abbey Bowmen Archery Club, St Albans, shot at the Cambridge County Championships last weekend.
Although at 17 she is still a junior, Mary entered the competition as a senior, so shot the longer distances with the adults.
Mary not only took first place senior lady visitor, but out scored all of the other archers at the event, including the men.
Mary was also a member of the Hertfordshire team which won the Southern Counties Clout competition the previous week, helping to push the usual winners Bedfordshire down into second.
