Mbekezeli Mabuza took six wickets as St Albans stayed top of the league with a comfortable seven-wicket success over Bushey.
He finished with 6-26 and with the help of Max Capaldi (3-5) they had the hosts all out for 94.
That hadn’t looked the case as Bushey made a solid start, putting on 36 for the first wicket.
But only four of the Bushey attack made it to double figures.
Jacob Winfield took the other wicket with Michael Goodfellow taking three catches in the field.
And despite having a total of 65 overs to get the winning runs, the St Albans openers were in no mood to hang about, putting on 15 from the first nine balls.
That came to an end when Jonny Hall played at a straight delivery for 12.
His partner hung around for a bit longer and put on 18, to leave the score at 48-2.
Skipper Matt Howeson made 13 from his 25 balls faced but it was Robbie Goddard, making his first appearance of the season, who settled quickly.
His unbeaten 44 contained five fours and two sixes and came in just 49 balls.
A boundary from Goodfellow brought up the win with 45 overs to spare.
The win moves them 26 points clear of Eversholt, who drew with Bishop’s Stortford.
And it is the second-placed side who visit Clarence Park next for a 1pm start on Saturday.
