AN OLYMPIC Games final awaits St Albans synchronised swimmer Olivia Federici, and partner Jenna Randall, tomorrow afternoon (Tuesday).

The GB pair completed the preliminary phase of the women’s duet competition finishing ninth, well within the top 12 positions which all go through to the final.

Their free routine at the Aquatics Centre this afternoon saw them score 44.550 for technical merit and 44.240 for artistic impression to given them a score of 88.790 for the free routine.

That added to Sunday’s technical routine tally of 88.100 left them with a score of 176.890 from the two preliminary events.

Randall and Federici, a former St Albans Girls’ School pupil, finished 14th on their Olympic debut in 2008, but have since progressed up the world rankings, currently sitting inside the world’s top 10.

Ahead of the Games Federici (n�e Allison) had targeted a sixth place finish for the event.
