Elliot Bailey and David Longe-King helped Dunstable Town pick up four points over the Easter weekend.

Bailey, playing a full-back, scored the winning goal in Saturday’s 3-2 win over Chesham United. Then, on Monday, he started against St Neots Town but was forced off injured.

Longe-King played all of both games, and picked up a booking against St Neots.

In truth, it was two points dropped for Dunstable, who lead 3-1 at half-time against 10-men following a 27th minute sending off, before being pegged back by Lewis Hilliard and former Saint Lee Clarke.

St Albans City joint manager Graham Golds was on the sidelines at Rowley Park watching the on-loan Saints.

Tom Coulton’s Ware drew 1-1 with Tilbury on Saturday and lost 2-1 to a Harlow Town side featuring two former St Albans playes, Layne Eadie and Josh Urquhart, on Monday.

David Keenleyside scored his first goal, from the penalty spot, for Harpenden Town on Saturday in a 1-0 win over Codicote in SSML Division One. On Tuesday, Harpenden were beaten 2-1 by Edgware Town.

Despite achieving safety in the Vanarama Conference South, St Albans City joint manager James Gray isn’t planning on recalling his players early from their loan spells.

“Bailey and Longe-King are doing really well at Dunstable. Graham was there to see whether it was viable but it’s difficult to bring them back if they’re playing,” he said. “I wouldn’t expect to bring them back early.”

He added: “Keeno needed game time. We’ll only bring him back if we’re going to start him. We’ll cross that bridge when we get there.”
