AFTER recent tournament finishes in the top 30, then the top 20, former Herts champion Sam Little made it into the top 10 on Sunday when he finished tied for eighth place in the Austria Bank Open in Vienna.

Little had rounds of 68 67 67 for an 11 under par 202 to win 26,780 in the rain-hit event reduced to 54 holes.

He finished four strokes behind winner J.M. Singh of India, who had rounds of 64 63 71 for 198, 15 under par.

SHAUN WIFFIN, golf teacher at The Hertfordshire, won the Bishop's Stortford Masters, the first PGA East Region order of merit event, after a play off against Jason Levermore (Clacton), both having rounds of 66 69, seven under par. Rob Leonard (Mid Herts) was third after rounds of 66 71. Andy Clapp (Brickendon Grange) had rounds of 72 68.
