League leaders Eastbourne Borough proved too strong for St Albans City.
Eastbourne scored the only goal of the game in the second minute as Adam Watts profited from some poor defending.
Despite a number of chances, St Albans were unable to find the net as they lost their second Vanarama Conference South game of the season.
City’s next game is at home against Sutton United on Saturday, August 30.
