HERTS LADIES launch their bid next week for a place in the English county finals when they compete in a six-match contest to decide the champions of a new East Region.
Playing over the Links course at Newmarket, they meet Norfolk on Monday, Bedfordshire on Tuesday, Suffolk on Wednesday, Essex on Thursday and combined Cambridgeshire/Huntingdonshire on Friday.
The format will be three morning foursomes and six afternoon singles each day.
Herts have named the following squad, from whom the daily teams will be chosen: Lucy Williams, Tina Jeary, Alison Franklin, Hannah Burke, Charlie Field, Jackie Foster, Harriet Key, Steph McEvoy, Lucinda Mileham, Lucy Glyn.
"This is a new challenge for the county and we feel we have a strong and talented team who go into the contest in confident mood," said team captain Jaki White.
