THE City Ladies were depleted once more taking just 10 players for their trip to Leighton United.
Despite being able to field 10 players, five were carrying injuries and another was suffering with flu.
However, despite their problems the Ladies raced into a two-goal lead thanks to two goals from Kate Clarke.
The first saw Clarke head home a Hannilee Fish corner and the second came after Katie Ladd played a superb through ball and Clarke evaded the challenge of the defender and the goalkeeper to roll the ball into the empty net.
However, Leighton hit back and had taken the lead by half time.

An injury saw City Ladies reduced to nine players and with the other players struggling with their existing knocks Leighton took advantage to run out 12-2 winners.
Ladd had a brilliant game for the Ladies and Caroline Johnston, Mary Warren and Ria Llewellyn also put in good shifts. Clarke was full of running up front despite nursing bad knees.
Caitlin Braham-Nicoll played in goal during the first half and produced some good saves and Fish who took over for the second half also impressed between the sticks.
The Ladies entertain Arlesey Town Ladies at London Colney FC this weekend with kick off at 2pm.
