ST ALBANS City Ladies overcame local rivals St Albans City Youth 2-0 in Sunday's encounter.
Starting with only nine players the Ladies went 1-0 up when Tiffany Harbron and Kate Clarke worked a one-two on the edge of the area and Clarke calmly round Youth goalkeeper Megan Hebb before applying the finish.
The Ladies had created a couple of openings before they took the lead with Caroline Johnston firing into the side netting.
Rebecca Atkins in goal for the Ladies had a good game excellently tipping one shot over the bar.

The Ladies doubled their lead when Clarke grabbed her second goal, hitting a ferocious shot into the roof of the net following Ria Llewellyn's pass.
