REDBOURN golfer, Kyle Honney, secured a place at the Grand Final of the British Junior Golf Tour at Celtic Manor Golf Club in Cardiff.
Kyle, who has just turned seven, turned out at the 2010 Ryder Cup venue this week. The talented youngster is a member at Stockwood Park Golf Club and has been playing golf for a year and a half. He joined the Tour in 2007 and has played on various courses throughout the UK, including the prestigious Forest of Arden. Kyle earned points at each event, enough to qualify for the semi-final. The top three in each age category then qualified for the Grand Final.
The British Junior Golf Tour is a UK-wide tour for junior golfers aged between six and 17, with or without a handicap. The Tour has produced some great junior golfers with handicaps as low as three, and also ensures youngsters have fun on the course. See the website www.juniorgolftour.co.uk for more information.
