A GOAL in each half saw Wanderers complete a league double over their visitors.
The first came after 20 minutes from new signing Ben Knapper who strode through the Global defence before drilling home.
The game was one of ebb and flow, with both sides pressing forward at every opportunity.
It was Wanderers who again found the net, with John Sargent heading in a pinpoint cross from Tim Attwood.
The home team continued to press forward with Matthew Briggs providing the vital link between defence and attack.
However, the third goal eluded them although Rich Francis hit the post with a late effort.
On Saturday, Wanderers travel to Potters Bar for a league game against Warriors.
