COLNEY Heath were unable to repeat the previous weekend's win at Royston Town as they slipped to a disappointing defeat at home to Dunstable Town.
Dunstable took the lead just before the half hour mark when Douglas Kissule fired home from Jake Bewley's pass.
The Town striker doubled Heath's problems with a second goal before half time and the game was effectively over for the Magpies when Dan O'Connor finished from Bewley's cross just two minutes after the break.
Heath pulled a goal back late on when Picknell sliced his clearance past his own goalkeeper but it was little more than a consolation on a bad day at the office for the Magpies.
Heath travel to Hillingdon on Saturday.
