YOUTH RUGBY: Verulamian Chariots U11s hosted Tabard at Cotlandswick on Sunday in their first match of the season.
For the U11s this season brings in a five-man scrum, the ability to kick during open play and take conversions following tries. Both teams used the match to get their whole squads involved and so coaches agreed to play three 15-minute sessions.
The Chariots played extremely well and, despite some pressure from Tabard, the visitors weren't able to breach the Chariots' line as the home side closed out a 44-0 victory.
Jonny Wallace was the star for the Chariots running in three tries.
There were also tries for Rory Jeram, Rory Aldridge, Daniel Crain, Hal Duggan and Curtis Wolf with James Ryan kicking two conversions.
