JAYME Baggio finished in second place in the Women's Slalom at the British Land National Ski Championships held in France.
The Harpenden teenager mounted a strong challenge for top spot, leading by one third of a second after a fluent first run but she could not maintain her attack on to the second run, falling behind triple winner Chemmy Alcott.
Jayme said: "I was a little nervous going into the second run and just did not ski as well as the first. It would have been great to beat Chemmy but I just never quite got into it the way I did, making some little mistakes. So, I am a little disappointed, but then if you had told me this morning I'd be second I'd have taken it gladly.
