Golfers dreaming of a spot on the European Tour alongside the likes of Rory McIlroy and Ian Poulter will be chasing those aspirations at Aldwickbury Park Golf Club from July 22-23, 2014.

The Harpenden-based club will host the latest round of the popular satellite series the Jamega Pro Golf Tour. The Tour is the first stepping stone in professional tournament golf and a feeder to the European Challenge Tour, the second tier of the lucrative European Tour.

Professionals will be teeing up on the Park Course, an undulating parkland layout, designed by former Ryder Cup star and BBC golf commentator Ken Brown.

There will also be a Pro-Am event preceding the tournament, which will welcome local amateur golfers to play alongside some of the top Jamega Pro Tour players, in a warm-up for the upcoming tournament. Due to its popularity, there is limited spaces available to enter a team for this years match.

Andrew Shewbridge, general manager at Aldwickbury Park Golf Club said: “Our greenkeeping staff have been working extremely hard to ensure the course is in pristine condition once again to give the players the quality of fairways and greens they would expect on the main European Tour.”

“The Jamega Tour and Pro-Am event have proved popular events in previous years. Visitors are welcome to join us, and spectate, free of charge.”

This is the fourth successive year the event has been held at Aldwickbury Park.
