INJURED duo James Quilter and Adam Everitt may have to battle through the pain barrier to help City's cause.
Quilter has had a scan on the knee he injured during City's defeat to Welling United but boss Steve Castle admits he'll probably have to see a specialist to determine whether or not he'll have to go under the knife.
"He's had a scan, I think there's a cyst and a little bit of a problem with his cartilage, he really needs to see a specialist to see whether he needs an operation," Castle said.
"He's been running on it and feels reasonably comfortable, that said I would be looking at trying to include him on Saturday because we need some real men in the team."
Everitt is continuing to play despite needing an operation on his hernia, and the former Bromley man got another 45 minutes under his belt during the Royston game on Tuesday night before being replaced at half time by Justin Clayton.
Castle revealed it was only a precautionary measure but did warn that Everitt may find it hard to play two games a week while he's still waiting for the operation.
"I want to win every single game, and this (the Royston game) is as important as a league game but the facts are that Adam will be struggling from now until the end of the season to play two games a week.
"He felt fine, but with Justin Clayton on the bench we had the opportunity to bring the level of performance down, centre-half wise, by bringing Justin on and giving Adam a rest so that he's right for Saturday.
