The front man is in a rich vein of form at the moment, having added two more goals to the double he hit on Saturday in an FA Vase win over Northampton Spencer.

His latest brace came in a single half as he started Tuesday’s contest on the bench. The Blueboys managed a goal in his absence as Greg Shaw smashed home from the penalty spot after Elliot Bailey was felled, a foul which resulted in the hosts being reduced to 10.

Cain Davey made way for Hill in the second half and he scored almost immediately. Jack Woods made a smart run down the right and crossed for Hill to drill home on 64 minutes.

Bailey, on dual registration with St Albans City, scored the third as he raced clear and calmly slotted the ball past the goalkeeper but the night belonged to Hill and he wrapped up the scoring as he got on the end of another Woods’ cross to complete his brace and take his tally to four goals in two games.
