Herts juniors show smashing form

CHARLIE Broom, of St Albans, and Tom Hewitt, of Harpenden, helped Herts Under 10s Boys win their age group as the county finished second overall in the Lionel Cox Trophy. The event took place over two days early in May at Queenswood Tennis Centre.

The event took place over two days early in May at Queenswood Tennis Centre.

Tom and Charlie combined with Harvey Shackleton and Toby Rogers as Herts won the age group. The Under 10s Girls finished third in the trophy competition with Georgie Walker (Harpenden) in the four strong squad.

In the Girls Under 11s age group Emily Arbuthnott (Harpenden), helped the squad to third place overall and Jack Turley (Harpenden) played his part as the Under 12s Boys finished second.
