Chequers Inn produced a stunning comeback in the Knockout Cup to beat Garston Panthers 3-2.

Trailing to goals from Jordan Manfre and Sam Duff, Joe Geddes got things started before Chris Gill got the equaliser from a corner.

A penalty from Stu Pearson sealed the comeback and the win.

Snug Bar battled to a 3-1 win after dominating the first half against Wheathampstead ‘89. Alex Songaila scored twice and Bruce Halsey once for Bar while Kyran Baxter replied for Wheathampstead.

Phoenix picked up a well-earned 3-0 victory over Brookmans Park thanks to Ally Hills, Jack Gage and Sam Bozier.

In the Challenge Cup Skew Bridge Reserves progressed with a 4-2 win over Six Bells.

An own goal put them ahead before Bells equalised. However, Will Bates knocked in a hat-trick to put the result beyond doubt before Bells grabbed a consolation late on.

Despite two goals from Max Evans, Nicholas Breakspear Res fell to a 5-2 defeat in the Intermediate Cup against Harpenden Rovers Blue.

Another great performance from the Mill saw them beat Brookmans Park ‘A’ 3-0 in the Junior Cup. Ashley Kingston, Patrick Monrose and Simon Cerri got their goals.

Marshalswick Rovers beat Victoria 5-1 thanks to a Luke Tremlett hat-trick. The other goals came from Rulo Mendoza and Sam Fisher while Jamie Ferdinand scored for Victoria.

Jolly Sailor won back-to-back games with a 4-0 success over New Greens. Goals came from debutant Dan Stobie, Ritchie Jones and two from Matt Thorn.

In the Herts Advertiser Premier Division Wael Benatim put New Jacks ahead but goals from Ben Warren and Andy Saul gave Skew Bridge a 2-1 win.

Following six straight defeats Nascot Arms tasted success for the first time this season with a 2-1 win against Queens Head Sandridge. George Elliott scored for Queens.

Facelad and Blacksmiths Arms fought out a 3-3 draw in Division One. Darren O’Brien (two) and Peter Clynes scored for Facelad while Aidan Golds (two) and Jamie Sharp replied for Arms.

Harpenden Colts picked up a comprehensive 5-1 win over BWSC in Division Two. Brandon Whitman got two and Alex Norwood, Jason Abbott and Ben Hutton one each. John Starnes scored for BWSC.

Brookmans Park Res and TNF drew 0-0 in a well-contested game.

In Division Three Royston Rangers lost 3-2 to Blackboy. Alfie Jackson, Ian Adele and Pas Basile scored for Blackboy with Kieran Thorne and an own goal counting for Rangers.

Athletico Quat and Stonewood Res drew 2-2. Quat’s goals came from Joe Meija and an own goal. Mitchell Reavill scored both Stonewood goals.

St Albans Irish won their fifth league game, defeating Oaks 4-3. Ben Conrad led the way with a brace and Robert Forty and John Armitt added singles.

And in Division Four Pinewood stayed top with a 4-0 win over CHL. George Milstead, Michael Hames, Andrew Alsop and Tom Pegram got their goals.

Jon Hart’s life as Royston Rangers Reserves’ manager got off to a tough start as they lost 8-0 to White Horse.
