Church End suffered penalty shootout heartbreak in the final of the Herts Junior Cup against Echoes.

Phil Jackman and Carl Edwards’ 93rd minute header took the game to extra-time and nothing could separate the teams after two hours of football, so the game went to spot-kicks. Echoes held their nerve to win 5-3.

INTERMEDIATE CUP: Garston booked their place in the final after Shereef Ismal, Joshua Stachini, Luke Wantnaby and Jordan Manfre fired them to a 4-2 win over Phoenix Reserves, who had Ali Hill on target.

PREMIER DIVISION: Skew Bridge’s game against Vision was a non-event and ended in a goalless draw.

DIVISION ONE: Four first-half goals were too much for London Road to overcome in a 6-3 loss to Skew Bridge Reserves.

James Elliot and Will Bates netted two apiece in the first period as Skew took control of the game. Road pulled one back before Chris Gregory restored the four-goal lead. Two quick-fire goals set up a possible comeback, which was extinguished by Bates’ third.

Goals by Jack McNamara and Jacob Noonan gave Precision a 2-1 win against Bull & Jacks whose reply came via an own goal.

DIVISION THREE: Stonewood came out on top 3-0 in their title clash with Radlett Village. Daniel Hedges was in sparkling form scoring all three goals.

Wheathampstead ‘89 benefitted from a numerical advantage in a 6-0 win over eight-man St Albans IFC, who conceded five second-half goals.

DIVISION FOUR: Queens Head clinched the league title with a 5-2 win over Brookmans Park ‘A’. The goals came from Harry Seeby (two), Laurence Blow, Matt Bulcer and Luke Foster. Stuart Bright and Thomas Scott replied.

Oaks need just three ponts from their remaining two games to clinch the runners-up slot following their 5-0 win against Herts Mauritian. Dale Boreham, John Woodward (two) and Stephen Conroy found the net.

DIVISION FIVE: Andrew Shirra scored his first hat-trick of the season for Harpenden Colts OB Reserves in a 5-1 win against White Horse. The other goals came from Max Mackenzie and Freddie Warner.

GD GOLDING (TAILORS) CHALLENGE CUP: St Albans Rangers lost 3-0 to Nicholas Breakspear OB Reserves.

GD GOLDING (TAILORS) CHALLENGE CUP TWO: Chequers Inn won by the odd goal in seven against Brookmans Park. The goals came from Nic Hanyours (two), Pytel and Chris Wilding. Park replied through Callum Baylis, Joe Cullum and Jamie Lillywhite.
