Herts Ad Sunday League: Milsted hits five as Pinewood stay top

George Milsted bagged five as Herts Advertiser League Division Four table-toppers Pinewood brushed aside Royston Rangers Reserves with a clinical 9-0 win.
Alongside Milsted’s quintet, there were goals for Tom Pegram, Andrew Alsop and Dan Seager. Sam Clarke was the star man for Royston.
Marshalswick Rovers defeated White Horse 2-1 with a goal either side of the break from Sam Fisher.
Harpenden Colts’ form was much improved from the previous week and they came out with a 8-2 success against CHL.
Edi Bokqui was man of the match with a brace of goals and a tireless team performance but top scorer on the day was Alex Dennehy, who got four. Chris Newcombe and Ben Pegram got the others.

Nicholas Breakspear OB moved into the fourth round of the Herts Sunday Cup with a fine 6-3 win against The Rifle Volunteer. Dave Parkinson led the way with his first hat-trick of the season while Adam Wallace added a brace and Shaun Murphy a single.
Cup holders Skew Bridge had a walk-over, their opponents West United failing to field a team.

In the Challenge Cup, Blacksmiths Arms and New Jacks were finally separated after a ding-dong penalty shootout, Arms coming out on top 8-7.
The match itself had finished 2-2 after extra-time. New Jacks took the lead through James Mark Owen before Jamie Sharp equalised 10 minutes before the end.
Aidan Golds put Blacksmiths in front in the extra 30 minutes but a last-gasp equaliser by Nathan Jackson brought about penalties.
Goals from ace marksman Ben Conrad and John Armitt plus an outstanding performance by Joe Bragg gave St Albans Irish a 2-1 win against Brookmans Park A in the Intermediate Cup. James Jankawski scored the Park goal.
In the Herts Intermediate Cup Snug Bar were well-beaten by a strong Fox and Hounds side despite the best efforts of goalkeeper Tom Clayton, who made a string of good saves in the 6-0 loss.
Stonewood Res progressed into the next round of the Junior Cup with a fine 5-2 win against AFC Mymms. Goals came from Jack Hague, Tom Dickens, Tom Mardle, Ryan Brandon and an own goal.
Back in league action Queens Head Sandridge completed a Premier Division double over a never-say-die Phoenix side with a 3-1 win. Two goals by Khalid Ismail and a superb 30-yard free-kick from Dave Corran gave Queens the three points.
Stonewood put in their best performance so far this year in defeating AFC Rangers 2-1 with goals from Ashlee Kissiedu and Ryan Smith. Tommy Burns replied for Rangers with his first goal of the season.
In Division One, league leaders Brookmans Park defeated Garston Panthers 4-2 in a game that saw them create many chances and lead by three goals early on only for the Panthers to hit back to close the deficit, eventually losing 4-2.
Park’s goals came from Danny Clarke (two), Drew Botterman and Callum Baylis.
Wheathampstead ‘89 ended a run of four defeats to overhaul BWSC 3-2 in Division Two with two goals by man-of-the-match Duncan Gray and a Lee Bennett single. Josh Humpage and Mark Starnes scored for BWSC.
Chequers Inn completed the double over TNF with a 6-3 win. Davan Desai netted a hat-trick, the first Chequers player to do so this season, and Chris Wilding, Alex Goulding and Joe Geddes all got one each. Steven Orchard, Harry Gray and Jon Tanton scored for TNF.
Two from Cameron Leijgrave and one from Tom Gajjar couldn’t save Nicholas Breakspear OB Res going down 4-3 against Brookmans Park Res. Park’s goals came from Henry Chapman, with a double, Michael Bennett and Joe Hamner.
And in Division Three, Victoria lost to Oaks for the second time this season, going down 8-2. Sean Prior scored both.
