Club double for Skew Bridge

HERTS INTERMEDIATE CUP: Bull & Jacks lost 3-1 to Reed Rangers in the final at Letchworth. Brad Harrison scored Jack’s only goal but he also missed a penalty in a game of squandered chances.

INTERMEDIATE CUP: Lee Newman scored a hat-trick as Stonewood overcame Snug Bar 5-0 to qualify for their first final. Lewis Field and Dan Hedges scored the other goals.

PREMIER DIVISION: Skew Bridge clinched their third league title with a 4-2 win over Nicholas Breakspear OB. Dan Hay, Harry King, Jacob McClean and Ed Frost scored Bridge’s goals. Dave Parkinson replied.

DIVISION ONE: Skew Bridge Reserves made it a club double by winning Division One. Bridge didn’t play but London Road, who have five games in hand, lost to Precision, making it impossible to catch the leaders.

DIVISION TWO: Blacksmiths Arms were crowned league champions after beating Pennine Spartans 4-2, with goals from Aiden Golds (two), Luke Lovell and Jamie Sharp. Jamie France scored both of Spartans’ goals.

DIVISION THREE: Church End, chasing a backlog of fixtures, beat St Albans Rangers 3-1, with goals from Joe O’Brien (two) and Carl Edwards.

DIVISION FOUR: AFC Welwyn scored a late winner to seal a 2-1 win over Marshalswick Rovers, who had Colin Cunningham on the scoresheet.

Queens Head edged Wheathampstead ‘89 2-1 thanks to goals from Gary Hatchett and Matt Bulcer.

Nicholas Breakspear OB 90 beat Brookmans Park A 4-0.

DIVISION FIVE: Harpenden Colts Reserves took three points with a 2-1 win over Bradmore Rovers. Cheng He scored both of Colts’ goals. GD GOLDING HANDICAP CHALLENGE CUP TWO: Luke Habbijam and Dexter Simpson scored for Garston in a 2-0 win over Phoenix Reserves.

Brookmans Park paid the price for missing too many chances in a 1-1 draw with Six Bells. Joe Cullum did find the net but it was cancelled out late on.
