Brookmans Park came back from 4-2 down with 15 minutes to go in the Herts FA Intermediate Cup against Olly’s Athletic to win 5-4.

Callum Baylis was the hero, netting a hat-trick, with Danny Clarke and an own goal accounting for the other goals.

A strong half-time team talk also saw Six Bells come from behind against Broxbourne Rangers.

Trailing 2-0 at the break, two goals from Andy Hanak and one each for Leo Gibson and Jermaine Davey helped them to a 4-2 success.

Brookmans Park Res came up against a strong Fox and Hounds side, and lost 6-0.

Two goals from Liam McGarry and singles by Ben Haines and Bruce Selsey gave Snug Bar a 4-2 win against GGS First.

Skew Bridge Res recorded their biggest win of the season, defeating Chequers Inn 8-3 with a James Hardy hat-trick, two from William Bates and singles by Steve Harris, James Elliott and Phil Lythgoe.

BWSC shared six goals with Compasses North before losing 4-3 on penalties. Dan Taylor, Sam Leeson and Matt Hudson got the goals.

In the Herts FA Junior Cup AFC Mymms fought out a 1-1 draw with Old Pond Ath before losing 4-3 on penalties. Ashley Fongho scored their goal.

Phoenix put in a disappointing display when going down 8-3 against New Jacks in the Herts Advertiser Premier Division.

Nathan Jackson (two), Mickey Shuttlewood (two), Ollie Alea, Wael Benatim and Adrian Arright scored for Jacks while the Phoenix goals came from Chris Eames, Bernard Bradshaw and Jack Gage.

Stonewood put in one of the best shows of the season when sharing the spoils in a 1-1 draw with Skew Bridge. Lee Newman scored their goal with Mark Hitchcock replying for Skew.

Queens Head earned a 2-2 draw against AFC Rangers despite playing the first 30 minutes with 10 men.

Jack Faulder and Matt Balser put them into a 2-0 lead before AFC levelled in the second half.

Nicholas Breakspear OB beat Nascot Arms 7-2 with Adam Wallace getting his first hat-trick of the season. David Parkinson (two), Kurtis Pattison and Cain Davey got the others.

Four goals from Darren O’Brien fired Facelad to a 4-3 win over St Albans Rangers in Division One. They had led 4-0 at half-time but a second-half hat-trick by Christy Torrens left them sweating.

In Division Two Phoenix Reserves gained a 3-1 win over Wheathampstead ‘89. Shenahl Samarasinghe and Michael Langton put them two up before Dan Johnson scored a third on his debut against his old club. Lee Bennett replied for Wheato.

Athletico Quat and St Albans Irish shared six goals in a Division Three game which could have gone either way. Chris Jell scored a hat-trick for the Irish who led 2-0 at half-time. But it took a late equaliser to get a point after Jack Nevin, Joe Meija and Jonathan Cavaree had put Quat ahead.

Royston Rangers picked up their first point of the season with a 2-2 draw against Stonewood Res. Kieran Thorne and Dan Mills scored for Rangers while Tom Mardle and Tony Warner scored for Stonewood.

Harpenden Rovers Blue proved too strong for Blackboy, winning 6-1. Blues’ goals came from Steven John (three), Conor Bromwich (two) and Aykan Gurgur. Ian Adele scored for Blackboy.

Jolly Sailor won their first game of the season with a 1-0 win against previously unbeaten Oaks. Mickey Sinnott got the goal.

Victoria battled hard to hold New Greens FC to a 2-2 draw. Mark Pearson and John Crocket scored for Victoria but Louis Harvey and Nick Clift ensured parity.

Royston Rangers Res had a day to forget in Division Four when they lost 10-0 to Harpenden Colts OB Res. Despite the defeat though there were notable performances from Ryan Walter and Ian Leek with Luke Lowles-Hourigan man of the match.

However, hat-tricks from Chris Newcombe and Ali Dearman, plus a brace for Alex Dennehy and one each for Ben Pegram and Luke Marsh, got Colts the win.

Brookmans Park A team drew 1-1 with CHL with Paolo Besenzi coming off the bench to score. Daler Bhaker replied for CHL.

And Marshalswick Rovers beat The Mill 1-0 with Alex Pederson’s header proving the match-winner.
