AFC Rangers produced one of the shocks of the season so far with a 2-1 win over Nicholas Breakspear OB in the Herts Advertiser Sunday League Premier Division.

Breakspear’s goal came from Nesan Jeyaratnam.

Skew Bridge moved back to the top of the division following a 3-2 win against Phoenix.

Skew’s goals came from Gary Findlay, Mark Hitchcock and Michael Davis while Jack Gage replied with two for Phoenix.

Queens Head moved into the next round of the Herts Advertiser Challenge Cup with a 4-1 win over Stonewood. Their goals came from Sam Ledger, George Elliott, Adam Parker and Sam Doolan.

In the Herts Junior Cup The Mill fell to a 5-1 defeat against Clarkwood. Mario Difonza scored their lone goal.

In-form Oaks recorded a 5-0 away win at Cheshunt Lions with two goals apiece from Haydn Williams and Chris Coleman plus a Phil Douglas single.

St Albans Irish and Ripstone fought out a 10-goal thriller before the Irish won 7-5 on penalties.

Ben Conrad and Adam Fowler both scored twice for Irish with Alex Murphy getting the other.

Division One Brookmans Park defeated Premier Division Nascot Arms 5-3 in the Herts Advertiser Knockout Cup thanks to goals from Tony O’Donnell, Tom Hart, Callum Baylis, Danny Clarke and Luke Watling. Arms’ goals came from Jamie Beaumont, Robert Ladmore and Matt Byrne.

AFC Mymms and Harpenden Colts Res produced an enthralling game in the Herts Advertiser Junior Cup, finishing 2-2 after extra time.

And AFC, who came from behind twice thanks to Freddie Rand and Ali Dearman, went through 5-3 on penalties.

In Division One, goals from Matt Saxby and Danny Bowden saw Facelad share the points in a 2-2 draw with St Albans Rangers.

Skew Bridge Res came out with a 5-1 win over Blacksmiths Arms. They had to come from conceding to Craig Parratt to win, which they did thanks to goals from James Hardy, Chris Jones, Will Bates, James Elliot and Phil Lythgoe.

Chequers Inn picked up a 4-2 win against TNF in Division Two.

Andy Pytel scored twice with Jacob Wroe and Davan Desai getting the others. Harry Gray and Sean Sullivan replied for TNF.

Brookmans Park Res fell to their second successive defeat, going down 3-2 against Snug Bar after leading twice.

Park’s goals came from Pete Williamson and Patrick Doherty while Johnny Brown (two) and Ryan Hearne scored for Snug.

Victoria picked up their first win of the season in Division Three, defeating Royston Rangers 1-0 thanks to a Nathan Del Gaudio goal.

Harpenden Rovers Blue got their second win on the trot, defeating Jolly Sailor 4-0. Man of the match Connor Bromwich scored twice and singles came from James Dobinson and Tom Simmonds.

And in Division Four Marshalswick Rovers defeated Royston Rovers Res 5-0 to complete an early season double.

Sam Fisher scored twice on his return from injury with other goals added by Jamie Moss, Ceri Dix, from the penalty spot, and Mike Ingram. Ian Leek was Rovers stand-out player.
