Herts Ad Sunday League: 13 teams progress in county cup

Garston recorded their bigest win of the season, defeating Croxley 6-0 with two goals apiece from Courtney Hart and Dexter Simpton and James Manfre and George Thomas singles.

Six Bells dominated Sandon from the start in a 5-1 win. The goals were scored by Andy Hanak, Jack Massey (two), Daniel Alker and James Pegrum.

Brookmans Park won 3-1 against Aspire Personal Training thanks to goals from Tom Wilsher, Luke Watling and Drew Botterman.

Brookmans Park Resereves joined the first team in round two after coming back from 3-1 down to win 4-3. The scorers were Joe Cullum (two), Danny Clarke and Simon White.

Bull & Jacks recorded a 3-1 away win against Pig and Whistle after extra-time following a 1-1 draw. The goals came from Nathan Jackson, James Owen and Matt Parkins.

Sam Bozier (two) and Jack Skinner were on the mark for Phoenix Reserves in a 3-2 win against Hadham Villa.

Olli Franks and Lee Sturgess scored as Blacksmiths Arms won 2-0 against Queens Park Rangers.

Goals from Kevin Yule and Mark Starnes couldn’t save Cannon from going down 6-2 against the Grove.

Skew Bridge Reserves beat Langlebury CC 2-1 with goals from Phil Lythgoe and Chris Gregory.

An outstanding performance by Reza Hoteel plus goals from Sabtain Ahmed (two) and Nic Brobbey gave Herts Mauritian a 3-1 win against Chequers Inn.

Frankie Jowle scored a hat-trick for London Road in a 6-0 win against The Rosey. Stephen Rogers, Matt Armitt and Anthony Donnelly completed the tally.

Intermediate Cup: Wheathampstead 89 overturned a one goal deficit before beating St Albans IFC on penalties. Duncan Gray cancelled out Spencer Clarke-Mardel’s goal to take the game to extra time.

Wheathampstead Crown had to go to extra time before defeating Camp KBK 2-1. Ben Conrad scored both of Crown’s goals, either side of Dean Jones’ leveller.

Junior Cup: Snug Bar beat Marshalswick Rovers 4-3 thanks to goals from Stephen Brace (two), Ben Haines and Liam McGarry. Rovers’ goals came from David Hudson, Harry Hughes and Luke Tremlett.

James Bailey was in inspired form, scoring twice, for Bradmore Rovers in a 4-1 win against NBOB 90. Joe Brunt also netted a brace.

In-form Church End continued their fine form with a 4-0 win against Oaks. Carl Edwards led the way with a hat-trick and Dean Stanton added a single.

It wasn’t until the second half that St Albans Royals took charge against Cannon Reserves, winning 4-0 with goals from Danny Blyth (two), Scott Lye and Matt Brand.

Premier Division: Mark Hitchcock scored twice and Danny Green added a third as Skew Bridge comfortably beat St Albans AFC 3-0.

PSV lost 4-1 to Vision, who had Roland Amponsem and Joel Norris (two) on target. Craig Taylor replied for PSV.

Division Two: Queens Head were 3-2 winners against Pennine Spartans thanks to goals from defenders John Murphy, Matt Corran and George Guest. Spartans’ goals came from Jamie France and Jamie Smith.

Division Three: Second placed Stonewood recorded their biggest win of the season, defeating St Albans Rangers 9-1. Leading the rout was Trevor Golder (three), followed by Lewis Field (two) Lee Newman (two), Ashlee Kissiedo and Ryan Smith. Charlie Betts replied for Rangers.

Division Four: Brookmans Park A drew 3-3 with AFC Welwyn. Park’s scorers were Toby Hanlon, Stuart Bright and Tom Jordan.

Queens Head Res fell to their first defeat against a very strong Phoenix A side who scored through Dan Burrows, Jack Taylor and Jack Williams. Queens goals came from the Jon Leto and Jak Hamilton.

Division Five: Harpenden Colts Res recorded their first win of the season, defeating Stonewood Res 4-0 with goals from Ender Tahsin, Steven Easterbrook, James Morris and man of the match Alex Geraghity.

League leaders Ridge made it four wins from four games when defeating athletic Quat 9-1. Chris Draddy starred with a hat-trick. David Bailey and James Hill grabbed two each and James Catchpole a single.
