Awad, who guided the Magpies to the Herts Charity Shield and the club’s highest ever league finish, third in the SSML Premier Division, last season, has left the post due to work commitments.

Heath had a poor start to the season, dropping their first three games, but have since turned their form around and have lost just two in their last seven, propelling them up to 10th in the table.

Anyone interested in the post can contact chairman Martin Marlborough via email: martinmarlborough@btinternet.com or through the club’s Twitter account: @ColneyHeathFC.

• The club is putting on a coach to the FA Vase game at Kirkley and Pakefield FC on November 1. The coach leaves the ground at 10.30am.
