COLNEY Heath lost top spot in the Premier Division after slumping to a 3-0 defeat at the hands of local rivals Hatfield Town.

A brace from DJ Broux and one from Trevor Golder sealed Heath's fate to bring an end to 'Nightmare November', which has seen Heath collect only one point and one goal from their three league games and exit the Herts Senior Cup at the hands of Broxbourne Borough.

The Magpies' management were extremely unhappy with their players' performance and boss Scott Lacey says there were no excuses.

"In no way do we have any excuse for the result," fumed Lacey. "Like Aylesbury the better team won on the day. Hatfield were stronger, more competitive and better in every department.

"It's the most disappointing match in terms of performance and professionalism since we took over.

"On the whole it was extremely disappointing. It's not a fair reflection on what my players can do."

Lacey insisted a repeat of this performance wouldn't be tolerated and has suggested the Magpies will look to make changes in the weeks ahead.

"It won't be tolerated and there will be major changes in the coming weeks.

"It was a local derby and Wes (Awad) in particular was let down badly.

"Both Aylesbury and Hatfield have done a good job on us, but I still think we're a top three side. I think if we want to be title contenders then we're going to have to win our next five games on the bounce.
