Haworth makes Leatherhead move

Striker makes Tanners debut in 3-0 defeat to East Thurrock United

ROB Haworth has switched to Leatherhead as he tries to get his injury-hit campaign back on track.

After an impressive start to his latest spell at Clarence Park the 36-year-old striker has been hit by one injury setback after another which has resulted in him falling down the pecking order.

The former Carshalton Athletic front man made his Leatherhead debut on Saturday but only lasted 46 minutes of the Tanners’ 3-0 defeat at East Thurrock United before suffering a re-occurrence of his hamstring injury. Haworth has made 17 appearances and scored five goals for City this season and joins the Ryman Premier Division outfit on dual registration forms.
