Manager Paul Tomkins has arranged a friendly with a St Albans City XI on Thursday at Rothamsted Research Sports Ground. Town then face Hoddesdon at the Bridgewood Green near Luton in the cup. Tomkins is looking forward to the Hoddesdon clash and is confident his replenished squad will impress. He said: "We are treating it as the first competitive game for us. We have a lot of new players making a revamped first team squad. I am very pleased. They are playing very well and are full of confidence.
