Harpenden 14 Brentwood 21
HARPENDEN suffered relegation from London One North after losing a 14-0 lead at home to Brentwood on Saturday.
Harps had started well and tries from Marchon and Stagg, both of which were converted by Haddock, put them in a good position.
A soft try conceded just before the interval however seemed to shift the balance of power and Brentwood took a hold of the game in the second half and gradually began to wear Harpenden down.
They eventually drew level before a late try condemned Harpenden to defeat and also the drop.
"It was a shame to lose after starting so well but credit to Brentwood for playing a good, hard game," said captain Joe Tennant.
"We made a few too many errors and unfortunately were punished for it.
