Harpenden Hockey Club’s ladies’ 1sts continued their undefeated run with a 6-0 win against Basildon.
Harpenden’s first goal came from open play as the team passed the ball round Basildon’s defence before Natalie Barton beating the keeper to put Harpenden in front. Two more goals were scored before half-time by Jac Clarke and Sabrina Jayaseelam.
Harps continued their goal-scoring into the second half with an early strike from Jane Hurt and then Clarke netted her second of the day. Helena Stolle wrapped up the rout.
The defence remained composed throughout the game, claiming their third clean sheet of the season.
