Harpenden Town routed Kentish Town 7-0 at Rothamsted Park on Saturday.
Town lost 1-0 in the reverse fixture but they flew out of the gates at the weekend as Harry Hunt, Harpenden’s top scorer with 20, netted twice in the opening 10 minutes to set his side on their way to victory.
Stuart Henderson and Jack Cartwright scored within two minutes of each other before Mark Hitchcock added Harpenden’s fifth to put the game beyond Kentish Town prior to the interval.
Danny Plumb’s side took their foot off the accelerator in the second half but still managed to score twice: the first from Michael Davies and the second from Nick Elliot – his first for the club.
Next up for Harpenden is a trip to Chesham United Reserves on Wednesday, kick-off 7.45pm.
