It promises to be an exciting season for Harpenden Cricket Club both on and off the field.
Work on their new pavilion has started and it is expected to be finished in time before their Saracens Herts Cricket League Premier Division season starts on May 11 with a home game against champions Welwyn Garden City.
The first team has seen a significant change in personnel over the last year with previous club captain and ex-Herts skipper Ben Frazer moving on to new challenges, Nick Lamb replacing him.
And he inherits an exciting group of talented young cricketers who have forced their way contention alongside the more experienced members.
But the club is still looking for more players of all ages to join.
The club offers all standards of games from the Premier Division through to the sixth team on a Saturday and one on a Sunday.
There is a team for every standard including the successful colts sections for both boys and girls.
