The St Albans Bowling Club fielded 14 teams in a Club Open Australian Pairs Competition.
The finalists were Eileen Englebright and Barbara Davis and Sally Griffiths and Dave Kiff. Griffiths and Kiff won and were presented with the Millennium Cup by President Rod Perks.

The midweek men played Hemel Hempstead. It was a very close game with St Albans winning by just one shot, 106–105. The top rink was Paddy Boyle, Colin Smith and Neville Simons (21–9).
The Ladies played Hatfield midweek and lost 45–38. The top rink was Linda Burfield, Maggie Kendrick and Eileen Englebright (28–17).
