Harpenden Town 3 Cranfield United 0
CHRIS Gregory scored twice as Harpenden Town defeated Cranfield United 3-0 on Tuesday.
Manager Christian Garzarolli selected teenagers Dave Keenleyside and Will Bates on the flanks.
Town took the lead when an Iaian Turkentine flick saw Jimmy Warner win a 50-50 tackle with the Cranfield defender, and Chris Gregory got clear to score.
After the break Harps went 2-0 up with a freak own goal as a pass back bobbled and evaded the goalkeeper.
Town were very comfortable and had the game wrapped up on 70 minutes. A powerful kick by goalkeeper John Gregory was well flicked on by Warner and Gregory surged clear to net. Manager Garazarolli was delighted with the victory. He said: "Chris Gregory has found a bit of form and Jimmy Warner has started the last couple of games and made a big impact. We have some brilliant footballers here and we are working together and adjusting a few things.
