Jack Green has joined Barton Rovers on loan.
The 17-year-old burst onto the scene at Clarence Park with a superb performance in the 2-1 win over Gosport Borough. But, with limited playing time available, joint managers James Gray and Graham Golds have sent him out to the Southern League Division One Central side.
Green could have some mighty big boots to fill at Rovers after Keshi Anderson’s dramatic deadline day move to Crystal Palace.
Anderson, who scored 19 goals in all competition this season for Barton, netted a six-minute hat-trick while playing for Brentford in a trial game against Palace, earning him a £7,000 move to the Premier League.
Rovers have yet to play since Anderson’s departure due to the weather.
