St Albans City made it six wins in eight games with a 1-0 win at Maidenhead United – putting them to within a point of safety at the foot of the Vanarama National League South.

Michael Thalassitis was the hero, scoring six minutes from time in a game which put a major dent in their host’s play-off aspirations.

Photographer Leigh Page was on hand to record all the action.

Saints are next in action tomorrow night (Tuesday) when they take on local rivals Hemel Hempstead Town at Vauxhall Road.

Kick-off is at 7.45pm.
